Certificates
Each environment has a unique certificate used by the Identity Provider. FoxIDs creates an automatically renewed self-signed certificate by default, and you can change the certificate container type when another certificate lifecycle is required.
There are two different certificate container types:
Renewed self-signed certificates (default)
- Automatically created self-signed certificates.
- Each certificate is valid for three months.
- A replacement is created 10 days before expiry and promoted to the primary certificate five days before expiry.
Self-signed or uploaded certificates
- Use an automatically created self-signed certificate or upload your own certificate.
- Certificates in this container are not renewed automatically.
Open Certificates in the environment to view the primary certificate, copy or download the public certificate, and change the container type.
